Abstract

The control based on economical cost function is used in general in higher control level and runs over direct human participation i.e. it isn’t real time automatic control. In article it is shown that (under some circumstances) it is possible to incorporate the economical cost function (minimum of costs to reaching and maintenance of control goal) into full automatic control i.e. to use economical cost in low level control. The basic presumption is a controlled system with more inputs than out-puts. An additional demand is to know the cost for ever manipulated inputs. It is shown the solution principle – problem formulation as a task of constrained extreme finding. There are introduced two examples of control design that include control cost minimization. The first one deals with a design of simple decentralized control of a (fictional) system with four inputs and three outputs including cost minimization. The second one shows the way how to incorporate the cost minimization into an advanced predictive control of an ideal thermostat.
