Abstract

The article is devoted to alternatives of increasing of the renewable resources share on energy consumption, which are, in the Slovak circumstances, rather limited. It describes risks connected with renewable energy resources and states usage possibilities of wood biomass, obtained predominantly from fast-growing wood species, for energetic purposes.
