Abstract

Present trends in the development of motoring are substantially different in countries, which accessed the European Union in recent years in comparison with the “traditional” European countries. It was caused by the high increase of number of passenger cars in the newly accessed countries. Such increase brings also many problems which arise in particular in residential areas and on roads out of residential areas since they are not able to ensure reliable and continuous traffic on these roads. High increase of passenger cars and performances of individual motoring brings both negative and positive impacts which should be seen in the state budget income from sales of fuels, cars, toll and other subjects related to the motoring and which is the main factor of increasing mobility of inhabitants.
