Abstract

This paper deals with the lateral displacement of the vehicle during determining the height of centre of gravity. Lateral displacement was measured by tilting the vehicle on the tilting platform about the longitudinal axes. Lateral deformation of the tire on underside of the vehicle occurs through this movement. This results in sliding of the vehicle down the tilted platform. Wheels on the upper side of the vehicle slide when their lateral elasticity is exceeded.
